Slot Attendant Pay
SUMMARY:
- The average Slot Floor Attendant salary in Massachusetts is $29,400 as of December 28, 2020, but the salary range typically falls between $26,000 and $32,700.
- On slots, the main tipping situation comes with hand-paid jackpots. Most slot machine payoffs just add credits to the meter. However, large jackpots are paid by a slot attendant or supervisor, sometimes accompanied by a security guard. Tips always are optional. You do not have to tip those who pay you.
A hand pay (or handpay) is a condition where a slot machine cannot pay the patron in the typical manner, requiring the casino staff (such as the floor attendant or cashier) to pay the customer out manually (i.e., by hand).
The Slot Attendant is responsible for providing additional services to the guests including, but not limited to payouts, answering questions, and handling minor disputes. The Slot Attendant will also be required to perform basic maintenance on slot machines and is responsible for the cleanliness and appearance of their area.
